The Barrière group announced today that it has signed the Supplier Relations and Responsible Purchasing Charter in collaboration with the Compagnies Mediator. This commitment marks an important step in the Group's CSR strategy and purchasing policy, aimed at strengthening transparency, trust and dialogue within the supply chain.
The signing of this charter demonstrates the Barrière group's desire to structure and formalize its responsible purchasing approach. This commitment goes beyond legal obligations and aims to promote fair and sustainable relationships with its suppliers. In particular, the approach includes the implementation of good practices aimed at improving social, environmental and economic performance within the sector.
The objective of this charter is to facilitate dialogue with suppliers and identify levers for continuous improvement within the general sector. It also aims to ensure compliance with the principles of sustainable development and to strengthen the Group's competitiveness while respecting fundamental values of ethics and respect for human rights.
The Compagnies Mediator, as a trusted third party, will play a key role in monitoring the implementation of this charter, thus providing a frame of reference for resolving any disputes and promoting cooperation between the Group and its suppliers.
The 10 commitments of the Responsible Supplier Relations and Purchasing Charter:
Ensure a responsible financial relationship with suppliers;
Maintain a respectful relationship with all suppliers, conducive to the development of collaborative relationships;
Identify and manage situations of mutual dependence with suppliers;
Involve the signatory organizations in their sector;
Assess all life cycle costs and impacts;
Integrate environmental and social responsibility issues;
Ensure the territorial responsibility of its organization;
Ensure the professionalism and ethics of the purchasing function;
Entrust a Purchasing function with the overall management of supplier relations;
Create a “supplier relations” mediator function to facilitate relations within and outside the company.
The signing of this charter with the Compagnies Mediator marks our desire to establish sustainable and ethical partnerships with our suppliers. This commitment not only allows us to structure our responsible purchasing policy, but also to open a space for dialogue in order to support our partners in a relationship of mutual trust,” said Grégory Rabuel, CEO of the Barrière group.
